Monocrystalline solar panel

About monocrystalline solar panel

Monocrystalline solar panel are also called single crystalline silicon solar panel. Because these solar panel are made of single piece of silicon crystal. These silicon crystal are cylindrical in shape. The silicon used to make these solar panels are high in purity. To increase the efficiency and maintain the cost, the solar cells are cut off from all its edges. Monocrystalline solar panels also known for its dark black hue on its surface.

Types of Monocrystalline solar panel

In monocrystalline solar panel, we further have two varieties.
  • PERC solar panel
  • Bifacial solar panel
Both the monocrystalline solar panels are different from each other. Further the detail about both is as following:

PERC solar panel

Solar PERC cells are a new invention in the field of solar power. PERC genuinely stands for Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell or we can say for Passivated Emitter and Rear Contact. This technology is invented to achieve higher power conversion efficiency by adding a dielectric passivation layer on the rear of the cell.

Bifacial solar panel

Bifacial solar panel can provide us extra benefits over traditional solar panel. In bifacial solar panel the sunlight absorbed by both its side to generate the power. In traditional solar panel only front side of a panel can absorb the sunlight and the sunlight which cannot be absorbed is simply reflect away. But bifacial solar panel deals with this problem and produce extra power.

  1. It is made out of pure silicon crystal.
  2. The efficiency of mono crystal solar panel are much more than any other solar panel.
  3. These panel have blackish hue on their surface.
  4. Looks good compare to polycristalline panel.
  5. Monocrystalline solar panel are the most trending solar panels since last few years.
  6. The life span of these solar panels are more than 25 years.
  7. These solar panel need less space to install.

Monocrystalline solar panel price

The prices of monocrystalline solar panel depends upon its size and model. You will have to pay accordingly to its model.
Solar Panel ModelSelling Price
50 watt mono solar panelRs. 1,600
100 watt mono solar panelRs. 3,200
150 watt mono solar panelRs. 4,800
200 watt mono solar panelRs. 5,200
250 watt mono solar panelRs. 6,500
300 watt mono solar panelRs. 7,800

Pros - Advantages of monocrystalline

  1. Efficiency up to 21%.
  2. Occupy less space for installation.
  3. Gives you best output compare to polycrystalline solar panel or thin film solar panel.
  4. These panels produces power during cloudy & non-sunny days too.
  5. These solar panel are in trend since from last several years.
  6. The estimated life of monocrystalline solar panels are more than 25 years.

Disadvantage of Monocrystalline

  1. Monocrystalline solar panels are expensive compare to polycrystalline panel.
  2. Due to corner cutting, in manufacturing process silicon gets wasted.

Subsidy on Solar System

Govt. Subsidy on Solar System Subsidy on Solar System  -  MNRE (Ministry of  New and Renewable Energy - Central Government) has set the target to install 227 Gigawatt (22,70,00,000 kilowatt) by 31 March 2022. To achieve this target govt. is promoting  solar power  in many ways. Govt. of India also senctioned an amount of Rs.5,000 crore for solar subsidies only. All details and procedure to get subsidy on  solar panel  system is as below. ( इस पेज को हिंदी में पढ़े:   सोलर पैनल सिस्टम पर सब्सिडी ) Government subsidy on solar in India How much solar subsidy is available? According to the latest notification by MNRE, 30% to 90% subsidy on benchmark capital cost is available for all consumers. • 90%  On  Solar Water Pumping System  for farmers only. • 70%  For 3 hill states i.e. Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand & Jammu-Kashmir only. • 30%  or all states of India. Who can get the subsidy on solar? Following consumers are able to get the govt. subsidy: •

500 liter solar water heater

About 500 L Solar Water Heater 500 liter solar water heater  (SWH) is maximum capacity in standard company fitted SWH. It is easy to use and easy to install, there is no maintenance required (except cleaning). A solar water heater has an array of  solar power  collectors to collect solar energy and an insulated tank for storing hot water. Both are related to each other. During the day, the water is heated in solar collectors that are either pumped or automatically flow into storage tanks with the  thermosyphon  principle. Small capacity solar water heater up to 2000 Liter capacity and Home solar water heating system works on  thermosyphon  principle. Price list for 500 LPD water heaters The price of 500 liter solar water heater is starts at Rs. 55,000 to Rs. 1, 25,000. Below, the latest price list of all types of SWH. 200 liter solar water heater

About 200 L Solar Water Heater 200 liter solar water heater  is the bestselling system in India, which is used to heating water with the help of sun power or  solar power . It can save you 2500 unit per year, and Indian government also support it by giving up to 40% subsidy to this  solar system . When hot water is not used for a day or two, liquids in collectors and storage can reach high temperatures in all non-corrugated systems. When the storage tank in a drainage system reaches its desired  temperature , the pump stops, the heating process is terminated and thus protects the storage tank from overwriting.
